At Riverstone Group, every custom home build and major renovation follows a clearly defined process. From initial consultation to final walkthrough, we prioritize communication, budget alignment, and structured project management.

Building or renovating a home is a significant investment. Our process is designed to minimize uncertainty, streamline decision-making, and deliver exceptional results with professionalism and accountability.

We begin by understanding your goals, lifestyle needs, design preferences, and budget expectations.

During this stage, we:

  • Review your property and site conditions
  • Discuss architectural direction and feasibility
  • Identify structural considerations
  • Establish preliminary budget expectations
  • Outline next steps

This foundational step ensures alignment before design and planning begin.

After a general agreement on the concepts we assemble a team of Consultants as required to develop a preliminary Design and Budget. We will review budgets and expectations to ensure that you are comfortable with the budget range and to make sure that there are no misconceptions. During this stage our clients will work closely with the Architects, Interior Designers, Project Coordinator and Builder to determine design and layout of the home. Having the professional support of our Team in this process ensures your home or renovation design requirements are met. The Designers work with our Construction personnel to ensure the designs are cost efficient and that all constructability aspects are considered. After completion of the Design Process a detailed cost estimate will be prepared which will outline the cost-plus pricing structure that will allow you complete transparency of the project costs.

Site plan approvals, building permits, rezoning applications, minor variances, etc. we understand the challenges in the preliminary stages of some project project, which is why Riverstone Group is committed to assisting in these matters. Our knowledge of local municipalities and their requirements improves timelines on permit applications.

Throughout the entire home building process, our team will work hard to ensure that your budget and vision is being met. Our team will also maintain communication with you, giving you the opportunity to ask questions or provide input at any point. While we are building, you can also monitor the progress of your project and you will receive see up-to-date cost reports. We will encourage you to visit your home regularly during construction. Throughout construction, Milestone Meetings will be scheduled at framing, mechanical, electrical, finishing, cabinetry etc. milestones. This provides us with many opportunities to discuss your personal preferences and the specific design details of your home.

Our commitment to you doesn’t end when the build is over., we will still take the time to answer any questions you might have. We deliver inspection documentation, warranty info, etc., and walk through appliance and home tech instructions to ensure your new home is enjoyable, stress-free and more than you ever could have imagined it would be.
